‘I Have Very Mild Symptoms’ – SA Actress, Ama Qamata On Testing Positive For COVID-19

Blood & Water actress Ama Qamata has revealed she’s tested positive for the coronavirus.

In a 49-second-long IG story video, which was captured by a Twitter user, the actress who plays Puleng in the popular series, detailed her experience and said she only has mild symptoms and was “feeling fine”.

“Hey, everyone, I just want to take this video just to announce and tell everyone that I’ve tested positive for Covid[-19],” she began.

“Um, I feel fine. Honestly, I have very mild symptoms. The only thing I think I’ve experienced or I’m experiencing is that I can’t smell or taste anything. Other than that, I feel fine,” she continued before urging people to stay home.

“. . . I just want to tell everyone to stay indoors. If there’s no reason for you to leave your house, then don’t. And if you are leaving your house, always make sure you guys sanitise, keep your distance, wear a mask and, guys, we’re going to get through this. Like the saying goes: tough times never last, only tough people last.”

Although the actress has not experienced any painful symptoms, other stars such as Lerato Zah, who have tested positive for the virus, were not so lucky. Earlier this month, the actress detailed how she suffered from chest pains, breathlessness, excruciating headaches, diarrhoea and nausea, dizzy spells and loss of appetite.
