Ghanaian Musician Sarkodie Repeats History In U.S With ‘Da Highest Concert’


Popular Ghanaian rapper, Sarkodie returns to Europe and the US with series of shows in the anticipation of his fifth studio album christened, “Highest”. The concert as usual is in partnership between TM Entertainment and his own SarkCess Music.

His New York City gig last (September 2, 2017) night was among his highly anticipated stops. The rapper set out to replicate his iconic History in the Making Concert (in which he filled up the famous Apollo Theatre years ago). This year, he took the concert to Hammerstein Ballroom.

A packed venue saw the rapper render an energy-filled performance for over an hour, dishing out several of his best-known hits including Revenge of The Spartans, Original, Adonai et al. He was supported by highlife doyen Amakye Dede, Efya, Akwaboah, comic actor/musician Kwadwo Nkansah Lil Win, as well as UK band The Compozers.

On records, Sarkodie has four albums to his credit with the fifth one about to hit the market on September 8, 2017 as scheduled. His first album was christened, Makye (2009), Rapperholic (2012), Sarkology (2014), Mary (2015), and the pending album “Highest (2017) . He is CEO of his independent imprint SarkCess Music, which is also home to singer Akwaboah, and fellow rap act Strongman.
