Ghana: Patapaa Received Another Award


Swedru-based artiste, Patapaa has gotten yet another honor as his hit tune, ‘One Corner’ was decreed DJ’s Song of the Year at the 2018 Ghana DJ Awards.

He beat competition from Kidi (Odo), Shatta Wale (Taking Over), Captain Planet (Obi Agye Obi Girl), Kuami Eugene (Angela), Samini (My Own), Ebony (Maame Hwe), Wutah (Bronya) and Stonebwoy (My Name).

Patapaa missed out on the Most Popular Song of the Year award at the 2018 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards but was later honoured by Huawei as the entity believed he deserved to have won the award.

The global information and communication technology solutions provider presented him with a Huawei Y7 Prime 2018.

Before this, his song ‘One Corner’ had been adjudged Viral Song of the Year at the maiden edition of 3 Music Awards.
