Ghana: I do my Music For my Fans Not Get Awards – Singer, Sista Afia Opens Up After VGMA snub

The popular Ghanaian Singer, Sista Afia has reacted to questions from people as to why she was not nominated in the 2019 VGMAs, considering that she had a hit song last year, titled ‘Slay Queen’

Sista Afia in an Instagram post has stated that she’s unfazed by the snub by the VGMA board and has told her fans not to worry because she’s doing the music for them and not awards.

She also added that she’s a winner in life and does not need any award before she knows that.

Her full post on Instagram read:

A lot of people asking why I got No Nominations this year let me say something right quick to my amazing lovely fans across the world I’m doing this music for YOU ! And that means the world to me! You people are my cheerleaders ???? in your hearts I know I’m a winner and I don’t need anyone to tell me that ???? #QUEENSOLOMON”, Sista Afia posted on Instagram.”

Sista Afia is known in real life as Francesca Duncan Williams rose to fame in 2015 with the help of Bisa Kdei and has dropped hit songs as like “Yi Wani”, “Are You Ready”, “Jeje”, “Slay Queen”, “Champion Attah” among others.
