Families across the UK celebrated Mother’s Day on Sunday, 14 March.
“This year Mother’s Day will be different once again,” Kensington Palace wrote on Instagram, as they shared drawings and letters written by Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis for “Granny Diana”.
“Many of us will be apart from our loved ones, but looking forward to a time in the not too distant future when we can give our mother a hug again. But for those experiencing bereavement, today may be particularly challenging,” they added.
“Whatever your circumstances, we are thinking of you this Mother’s Day.”
Prince Louis seems to have written his own name in his card to his late grandmother, while Prince George wrote: “I love you very much and think of you always.”
Princess Charlotte, tugging at our heartstrings, wrote: “Papa is missing you.”
The Cambridge kids also baked a cake for Kate Middleton and Granny Carole, sharing a photo of the two on Instagram, while Prince Harry is said to have honoured Princess Diana by arranging for flowers to be laid at her grave in Althorp.
