Miss Teenager South Africa has officially embarked on its search for an impeccable young lady to take the helm and become an ambassador for Teenagers across South Africa as they are crowned Miss Teenager 2021/2022.

The journey for the search of Miss Teenager kicked off on 1 August 2021, and the closing date for entries has been extended to 15 September.  This process will then culminate into a prestigious finalist ceremony in Johannesburg at Emperors palace in May 2022.

The Miss Teenager South Africa Pageant is a platform that prides itself in empowering teenagers across SA from the ages of 13-19. This prominent pageant leads in showcasing young women’s empowerment, diversity, intelligence, and leadership. The pageant offers the contestants the opportunity to speak on everything from their careers, dreams, and ambitions to global issues and development.

Young ladies who participate in the Miss Teenager South Africa Pageant have historically utilized the pageant’s platform to advance their specific careers path and work with certain organizations about which they are passionate. The MTSA pageant strives in helping shape the views of young ladies to be more encompassing than physical looks and to be inclusive of other important attributes such as intellect, ambition and resourcefulness.

Bongani Ncala, spokesperson for Miss Teenager South Africa, said: Emerging out of the Covid-19 pandemic environment with safety still our top priority – we are truly excited about the outstanding program we’ve prepared for the road to  Miss Teenager 2022.  We will soon be announcing various activities for our contestants and finalists, which will be lined up for the coming months leading up to the finale ceremony in May next year. We have revitalised the program and are elated with this year’s rollout, which will culminate into the biggest Miss Teenager South Africa to date.”

The beautiful Kayleigh Jephta, who is the reigning Miss Teenager, said this of the experience. “This platform allows me to learn from amazing people and grow in many different ways. Throughout my journey, I’ve gained so much confidence as I continue doing things that allow me to step out of my comfort zone.”

After winning the competition, I’ve realised that I am able and capable to do anything I put my mind to and work hard towards. Not only has winning made me more motivated to accomplish many other things, it’s an accomplishment that has allowed me to inspire and be proof to any young person out there that without taking a leap of faith you’ll never know what the outcome could’ve been.”

This year’s prizes include a full bursary for all three winners from Boston, holiday packages and cash prizes of R20 000 for the winner, R15 000 for the 1st princess, R5000 for the 2nd Princess.

The show will take place in 2022 in Johannesburg at Emperors Palace in May.
