American-Zimbabwean Actress, Danai Gurira Promotes Anti-Poaching Campaign In Zimbabwe

Black Panther star Danai Gurira has gone to Zimbabwe to join a campaign went for shielding rhinos from poachers.

The WildAid preservation bunch says Gurira, who for the most part experienced childhood in Zimbabwe, is partaking in an attention battle called “Poaching Steals From Us All” that will keep running crosswise over Africa.

Gurira shows up in an enemy of poaching video that opens with a scene from the Black Panther motion picture in which her character, Okoye, ventures before a charging rhino that suddenly stops and licks her cheek.

“We’re losing our heritage and an important attraction for our tourism industry,” Gurira says, urging people to report wildlife crime.

In a second post promoting the new campaign, Gurira shared a photo of herself and an “orphaned bull elephant” that was given “a second chance thanks to local wildlife conservation efforts”.

Alongside the photo, Gurira added that she was happy to be home.

China and Vietnam have also been targeted in campaigns to reduce demand for rhino horn. Some consumers believe the horn can cure illnesses.
