South Africa’s Gallery Naomi, which is running Big Sister Africa, has opened the online enlistment for Zimbabweans intrigued by taking an interest in their world show planned to start on September 2.
BSA is a reproduction of the well known “Big Brother Africa” indicate where members, the two females and males from different African nations will take part at a great cost of $100 000.
With more than 10 African nations taking an interest, tries out for Zimbabwe are set for April 27, 28 and 29 at Harare horticultural showgrounds and June 29 to July 1 in Bulawayo at the International Exhibition Center.
Interested parties should register to audition on the BSA website where they will fill an application form and pay a registration fee of $5.
In a statement, BSA said they were taking minimum numbers and there will be no registration at the auditioning venue.
Auditions in other countries started in January and they are open to young people aged between 18 and 35 years.
BSA said the show was meant to nurture talents and empower young people across Africa.
“We aim to identify special talents, empower millions of academic students, and artists across Africa through exposure and employment creation. Over the years Neon Diamond has engaged several strategic partners in media, television, tourism and academic institutions building a platform that plays a bridge function to links young people to their desired world of carriers.
“The Neon Diamond platform does not only create opportunities, but additionally build the motivation, skills, and confidence of young people on the African continent to make a difference in their communities, while simultaneously developing the capabilities critical for success in life and work today,” read the statement. Participating countries include Zimbabwe, South Africa, Zambia, Namibia, Botswana, Nigeria and Angola.
BSA added that the reality competition will be loaded with epic challenges, juicy romances, partying, travelling to luxurious resorts and surprising eliminations.”It will be a combination of a reality series and a game show and the contestants will battle it out each week to maintain their places in the house, all in the hope of claiming the prize awarded before midsummer. Viewers should expect the unexpected as the challenge unfolds, including head of household competitions and live eviction episodes,” they said. The Show will start on September 2 this year and will run for 90 days on top social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, youtube and selected TV stations across Africa as 24/7 series.
