For months now, critics have challenged the rights of estranged Olori of the Ooni of Ife; Queen Zaynab Otiti Obanor, to keep her royal title despite no longer being a queen. Since the criticisms began rolling in, the award winning philanthropist has kept deaf ears till recently.
Queen Zaynab took to her Instagram page a few hours ago to address the most recent call out by her detractors in what appears to be a response to the recent social media criticism of ace journalist, Dele Momodu for referring to the her as Queen. She shared “Detractors fuel my passion to continue to change the world. Most critics judge based on things beyond their comprehension. One must believe in their own ability to make a difference. Even if it means he or she stands alone. Your critics are a gift and God’s source of motivating you to greatness.”
– Her Highness, Queen Zaynab”
You would recall that the newsman in the Queen’s defense claimed that many people take up the title ‘Queen’ and Zaynab’s choice should not be a problem which only did well enough to anger the critics.
The respected monarch and the Olori called quits on their marriage back in August amidst controversy. Although the Ooni has still not given an official statement regarding the end of his marriage to Queen Zaynab, the former business woman released a statement and has since continued her humanitarian work.
