Conor Mcgregor, the mixed martial artist-cum-professional boxer recently announced the launch of his whiskey brand, ‘The Notorious’ Irish whiskey. He made the announcement during the post-fight conference after his much-publicized fight with Floyd Mayweather.
Conor also swore to flood the whisky market with the new drink. The Irish boxer took advantage of his highly publicized fight with Floyd Mayweather to announce his new investments including the new whiskey and a partnership with David August, a successful investor in the fashion industry.
From his numerous endorsements and partnerships, it seems McGregor is well aware of the fact that there is so much money outside the boxing ring. Among his partnerships are with a popular energy drink label, Monster Energy and Beats by Dre.
The proprietor of Dial A Drink Kenya – a 24 hour drinks delivery company operating in Nairobi, has rushed to stock Conor McGregor’s ‘Notorious’ Irish whiskey even before it’s officially launched to African market.
The proprietor announced his decision to stock McGregor’s ‘Notorious’ Irish whiskey on social media.
“Guess which whiskey brand will be available on our stock soon? Will be selling you Conor McGregor’s ‘Notorious’ Irish whiskey on Dial A Drink Kenya soon,” the post read.
The move is typical of Kenya entrepreneurs who are always in a rush to tap in from any big events or occurrences that get public attention.
