The first El Classico, between Barcelona and Real Madrid, to be played on the soil of the United States of America, would hold on July 29 at the Hard Rock Stadium, Miami.
The match, it was gathered, would be part of the International Champions Cup.
Tickets would start to sell from March 20 on the ICC’s website.
Making this announcement at a news conference on Friday, Stephen Ross, ICC co-founder and Dolphins owner stated that El-classico games are usually like war, as both teams do not like to lose.
“When they come to play a game, there’s nothing friendly about it. It’s like a war. They don’t like to lose,”
It would be recalled that in history, so far, both Barcelona and Real Madrid have faced themselves just once away from Spain, which happened in Venezuela in 1982, which Madrid won through a Vicente Del Bosque goal.
Barcelona and Real Madrid played out a 1 – 1 draw at the Camp Nou, on December 3, with the return leg set to hold on April 23
