Unknown gunmen opened fire in a crowded Deeper Life church near the Federal College of Education in Okene, Kogi state killing 15 worshippers in the church. Several worshippers were critically wounded in the attack according to the local government chairman in the area.
Emergency workers said the casualty will likely increase in a few hours. Soldiers and police from the Joint Task Force in the state have cordoned off the area.
