| CSIR Defence, Peace, Safety and Security (DPSS) unit has career opportunities available for engineering students. There are a number of competency areas within the unit where significant growth is being experienced. These include: Radar and Electronic Warfare Systems; Command Control Information Warfare; Landwards Sciences; Aeronautic Systems; Technologies for Special Operations; and Optronic Sensor Systems.This unit provides a national defence science and technology capacity; and supplies knowledge, advice and solutions in the area of defence and in matters of national security. Specifically, it aims to provide a defence evaluation and research capacity for the Department of Defence and Military Veterans.
