Since her wedding announcement some days ago, Funke Akindele has become a top news item on online, print and broadcast media.
Her planned wedding has nearly matched the controversies generated during Mercy Johnson last year August.
On Thursday, May 24, 2012, Funke performed her first road to being a Muslim with her marriage to Almaroof.
During the Nikkai rites, Funke got an adopted name, Khadijat. The name change was effected on based on her marriage to her husband, Almaroof Kehinde Oloyede, who is a Muslim.
Funke will still go ahead with her traditional marriage today, May 26 at All Season Plaza, Agidingbi.
