Nigeria now has 99 million mobile subscribers according to statistics by the Nigerian Communications Commission.
March witnessed the largest increase in active mobile subscribers adding about 2.53 million new subscribers.
The number of total connected mobile lines is however much larger and currently stands at about 134.91 million connected lines.
The NCC numbers confirms that teledensity in the country is now at about 70% with over 134 million connected mobile lines, over 13 million mobile (CDMA) lines (4,01 million active) and 2,3 million fixed wired/wireless lines (only 599,335 active).
