Thomas Muller’s goal for Bayern Munich at the 83rd minute of regulation in the match gave his club a 1-0 lead and it appeared as if Bayern would emerge victorious. But Chelsea superstar Dider Drogba tied the match up at 1-1 with a header in the 88th minute of the match. The goal was Drogba’s sixth in eight matches.
The outcome couldn’t be decided in the thirty minutes of extra time and fans got a chance to take part in the most exciting aspect of soccer.
Bayern Munich went 4-0 when games go to penalties during the season and Chelsea was 0-2.
Chelsea and Bayern ffound themselves tied at three goals each when Didier Drogba stepped up for the final kick. Drogba fired a shot past Bayern goalkeeper Manuel Neuer to seal the victory for Chelsea Football Club on Bayern Munich’s home field.
