Just like it happened in Nigeria last week, when the US issued warning of a certain Boko Haram Hotel attack, The United States Embassy in Nairobi also issued a terror alert in Nairobi yesterday claiming that it has credible information that terrorists will strike Nairobi any time from now.

They asked Kenya security apparatus to be vigilance especially in major hotels, bus stages and prominent government buildings.
The embassy officials say the timing of the planned attack is still unknown, but could be in the last stages of planning.
The embassy also warned all US citizens in Nairobi to stay in doors until further information can be communicated by the embassy.
“The U.S. Embassy informs U.S. citizens residing in or visiting Kenya that the U.S. Embassy in Nairobi has received credible information regarding a possible attack on Nairobi hotels and prominent Kenyan government buildings.
“Timing of the attack is not known, however, the Embassy has reason to believe that the potential attack is in the last stages of planning. The U.S. Embassy urges Americans to remain aware of their surroundings and vigilant of their personal security,” a statement from the embassy reads. Here is the exact warning from the embassy
