A heavy explosion rocked Kaduna again this morning as Christians converged in worship places to observe the Easter Sunday, a day set aside to celebrate the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
The explosion occured at about 9am close to the Ahmadu Bello Stadium, along the busy Junction Road, by Sarduana Crescent leaving an unspecified number of casualties.
It was gathered the explosives were packed in a car whose destination could not be ascertained as at the time of this report, but exploded before getting to its destination.
Several churches, including the Kaduna headquarters of the Assemblies of God Church, Evangelical
Church of West Africa (ECWA) and Redeemed Christian Church of God among others are located a few metres away from the scene of the blast which has been cordoned off by security agents.
Most of those affected by the blast are said to be okada riders who usually wait at the Sardauna Crescent Junction for passengers and passers bye.
